Quarantine 2020 - VT Pro Design


During the COVID19 Pandemic of 2020, many of of our projects were cancelled or postponed - but that didn’t stop us from making something awesome for our friends to experience. In collaboration with the talented designers and programmers at Master of Shapes, we built RoboArcaid, a live streamed video game that lets you control giant robots through an interactive website. Custom power ups and physical environmental effects could all be triggered through the web portal, as users waited their turn to help fend off and defeat the Covid19 monster.



Working closely with Adam Amaral at Master of Shapes, I was able to help out in a number of ways on the project despite everyone working from home. On the physical side of things, designing the layout and placement of the game within the VT shop to achieve visually compelling live stream views while not revealing the space altogether. On the digital side of things I helped to design the game’s weapon system - modeling, animating, integrating, and programming the assets for the game. Being able to collaborate so closely with the other talented animators, programmers, and designers on this project was definitely of our time in quarantine.
